Interview with Snobothehobo

> by SA007 » 23 May, 2010, 6:49 pm

Hello, this month I shall be interviewing a someone you may not all know, but is a well respected person who is top of their class. Recently she left the FP Community Team to move back to the FP Review Team where her passion lays.
It's Snobothehobo.

1) What is your favourite phpBB Feature?
My favorite feature is posting, of course. ;) Where would any of us be without that?

2) What is your favourite phpBB Modification?
My favorite phpBB modification would have to be the quick reply. It's always the first one I add. It's absolutely vital in my opinion; there are very many members who don't want to take the time to click the "new reply" button.

3) What is your favourite phpBB Style (a free one, publicly avaliable)?
I don't like many of the free, publicly available styles for phpBB3. For phpBB2, my favorites were DustyGreen and zoneCopper. As you can see, I'm a dark style fanboy.

Interview with eviL<3

> by SA007 » 23 Feb, 2010, 4:14 pm

Hello, this month I shall be interviewing a very special person from the phpbb.com team. I'm sad to say he recently left the team but he will always be remembered in phpBB MODing History.
It's evil<3 (or as I should now say Igor according to what your about to read).

1: Why do you like phpBB?

First of all, phpBB is free software. Not only is it free of price, but it also allows anybody to freely use and modify it. This freedom allows for a modding community to exist in the first place.

While the software architecture is not optimal yet, it has been constantly improving. 3.0 is a lot better than the previous releases. Especially the security architecture is very good.

phpBB has a strong user and modding community and a dedicated team that puts its heart and soul into creating and supporting the software and the community. That's what keeps it going, and that's why phpBB has existed for almost 10 years now.

2: Do you work on any projects...(view more)

The Moderating Team and You!

> by Twenty Seven » 19 Feb, 2010, 4:32 pm

Hello there, welcome to the latest blog about Moderating and you!

There are many, many forums all over the internet, there are forums about different genres like music, gaming
and also business related subjects. All of them need moderators, and moderators are very important in keeping
the forum safe, as well as getting rid of spammers, trolls and other things that most forums, want to eradicate from their
community. phpBB Developers is a great forum full of a great bunch of people, however even we need a Moderating Team.

It is essential that moderators can act professionally, responsibly and can be trusted. Being on a moderator team is not easy.
Anyone can think that it is but they are wrong, you have to know the forum inside and out, and you need to be able to handle
things on your own. It actually only takes one staff member to clear up a mess on a forum, however the reason why forums
have many staff members is simply because of time...(view more)
