The support given for phpBB3

How do you like the support forums over at phpbb.com? I find some of the staff and such to just ignore a question--as if they are annoyed with that person.

I was given some support there and would go there for anything phpBB3 as well.

I personally see some of the staff as slightly rude (either intentionally or not) and sometimes they will ignore a question. But they are not paid anything, so they can't be expected to always be nice and professional about it. And sometimes the user is so... not bright... that it's frustrating to have to explain every small detail.

If they were paid staff they wouldn't be so mean and rude. They'd be fired on the spot if it was my option to fire them..

And that's another reason this site's here; friendly and fast support for all. At least as far as I know to help them.

yeah, the staff are on a lot.

Which is why I try to join phpBB3 forums that are unofficial support. The official support sucks over at phpBB.com.

Lets see, they work 24/7 on a forums. Then they work on phpbb3 itself. So I see why they are.

Actually, it's a separate team that does support, not the actual developers (although they do sometimes stick their head in, and they are usually nice from what I've seen -- stubborn, but nice. ).
